The Morning Bull – US Market Morning Update Wednesday, May, 13 2026

E mini S&P 500 and Nasdaq 100 futures are pointing higher this morning, even as investors digest another hot US inflation print. Headline CPI is running at 3.8% year over year and core CPI at 2.8%, with a 0.6% monthly rise in overall prices that largely reflects more expensive energy and housing. Energy costs alone are up 17.9% over the past year, which means higher fuel and power bills for households and businesses. With the 10 year Treasury yield around 4.4% and talk of a possible rate hike later this year, the key question is whether rate sensitive areas like banks, real estate and smaller companies can handle borrowing costs staying high for longer, or whether investors continue to favor cash rich growth and technology stocks.

With inflation pressuring rates and borrowing costs, some investors are rotating toward resilient companies in our 69 resilient stocks with low risk scores
