Here’s what CNBC TV’s producers were watching as stocks began September in the red, and what’s on the radar for the next session. Berkshire Hathaway’s CEO Greg Abel The man himself will be on ” Squawk Box ” Wednesday in the 6 a.m. ET hour with Becky Quick, Joe Kernen and Andrew Ross Sorkin. Berkshire’s Class A shares were at $752,091 a share as of Tuesday night. They are off 6.7% from the Aug. 10 high. The stock is flat so far year to date and over the one-year period. BRK.A 1Y mountain Berkshire Hathaway Class A shares in the past 12 months Another big ‘Squawk Box’ interview New York Federal Reserve President John Williams joins the team live in the 8 a.m. hour. We’ll cover the big questions, including the real state of the American economy and what’s happening with rates. Oil We’ll follow closely Wednesday morning starting at 5 a.m. on ” Morning Call ” with Morgan Brennan. Jim Cramer’s ” Mad Money ” said on Tuesday that “high oil is like a tax on the economy.” There’s a lot to follow on “Squawk Box” as well: We will have some exclusive reporting on how much oil can come out of Venezuela and how soon. The Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF (FENY) hit a new high on Tuesday. It is up almost 9% in a month. Chevron jumped 2.4% on Tuesday after new fighting between the U.S. and Iran. Shares are down 1.7% from the March 30 high. ExxonMobil is off 6.7% from the March 30 high. It was also up more than 2% in the session. Phillips 66 hit a new high. The stock is up 19% in a month. PSX 1M mountain Phillips 66 in the past month A new focus on energy from Utah CNBC TV’s Pippa Stevens will be in the Beehive State reporting on the first great American Enhanced Geothermal Project. She’ll zero in on Fervo Energy , which just signed a big deal with Alphabet and is preparing to connect its geothermal project to the grid when emissions-free power is in more demand than ever. The stock jumped almost 30% Tuesday on the news. Fervo is worth nearly $20 a share. It went public in May. It shot up on IPO day, but it’s down 53% from the high point. Palo Alto Networks The cybersecurity surpassed estimates in Tuesday’s earnings report . CEO Nikesh Arora joined Cramer on “Mad Money” after the earnings release. He told Cramer, “The mythos moment has been a boom for cybersecurity because AI will be weaponized by bad actors, and we’re seeing the early signs of customers wanting to get a head start on AI attacks.” The stock is down modestly in after hours, but shares are up 9% in a month. They are up nearly 21% in three months. Palo Alto has nearly doubled so far year to date. The stock is down 9% from the Aug. 13 high. More coverage Wednesday morning at 5 a.m. with Morgan Brennan on “Morning Call.” PANW YTD mountain Palo Alto Networks in 2026 Broadcom The big tech company and part of the Parabolic Seven reports Wednesday afternoon live on ” Closing Bell: Overtime .” Broadcom is down almost 20% in three months. The stock is off 25% from the 52-week high hit back in June. C3.ai also reports on ‘Closing Bell: Overtime’ C3.ai is down 12% from the 52-week high. Shares are off 50% from the October 2025 high. The company that was working on AI long before it was a big trend says its software is built to help “bring AI into the core of how large businesses operate.” AI 1Y mountain C3.ai in the past 12 months Credo Technology CEO Bill Brennan joins Morgan Brennan — no relation — on “Morning Call,” starting at 5 a.m. Credo reported earnings after the bell, and its non-GAAP gross margin for the latest quarter disappointed Wall Street. The stock is down 9% after hours. Shares are up almost 85% in six months, but they are down 33% from their June high. The company “delivers high-speed, energy-efficient connectivity solutions powering AI, cloud computing, and hyperscale networks.” Apple Carter Worth, the chart master on ” Fast Money ,” sees the consumer tech giant as a “be long, stay long stock.” Apple is off 5.5% from its July 29 high. The stock is up 40% in a year.
